Summer Worship

During the summer months, we have one worship service at 9:30 a.m. beginning Labor Day weekend and ending the first week in August (May 28th – August 6th, 2017).

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your worship service look like? Our worship services are what we call “blended”. They have elements of traditional worship – organ pieces, hymns and liturgy AND more contemporary elements – informal introductions, announcements, prayers of the people, spoken word prayer.  The 9 a.m. service is smaller and has a more intimate feel while the 10:30 service offers childcare and Sunday school as well as the choir shares musical pieces.

What are the people like? People are friendly and will stand up and walk across the room to greet you. People wear everything from jeans and flip flops to sport coats and dresses. Wear what you feel comfortable in – jeans, shorts, flip-flops, boots – come as you are.

Can I bring my coffee in the Sanctuary? Yes! Worship is not a place to be scolded about what you’re bringing in, but a place of grace and thanksgiving for your presence. We want you to feel comfortable and coffee is comfort! Pastor Vicky can be seen with her coffee with during worship, and after worship there is a time for fellowship – gathering and talking with people – in the Lovell Building next door to the Sanctuary.

Where should I park? There is usually plenty of street parking around the church, down in front of the Ute Theatre on 4th Street.  There is also a public parking lot across the street from our community building (next door to the Sanctuary) on 4th street. There is handicap parking in back of the sanctuary building off of East street.

Is that all? After service everyone is welcome to the Lovell Building – the building next door- for a cup of coffee and snacks and a time to talk more with people you may have just met or have known for years. Pastor Vicky greets everyone who exits out the front steps and then makes her way to fellowship time to be with everyone.
